Monolith Hat and Cowl
Introducing the Monolith Hat and Cowl, pattern Nos. 13 & 14 in the 20in20 collection!
The Monolith Hat and Cowl use stranded color work to create vertical bars on a background of garter stitch, which makes them really pop! This pattern is perfectly suited to two high contrast colors. One skein of each color is enough to complete both accessories. Swap the main and contrast colors for the second project, and you will have a piece that coordinates, but isnβt too matchy-matchy.
Buy both patterns and get the second pattern 50% off. No need for a coupon, just add to your cart on Ravelry!
This worsted weight accessory is quick to knit and will keep you warm and cozy on cool spring nights. It also makes a great quick gift! Opal from Apple Fibers is an absolute squishy delight to work with, and I highly recommend it for this project!
Current WIP
I'm currently using Ra-Ra Rafia by Wool and the Gang, and so far it is definitely a love/hate relationship. I am designing a bag, and the structure of the paper yarn is absolutely perfect for it. However, it rubs my fingers raw and I can only work on it an hour or so at a time, before I need a break. I think the final product will be worth it though!
A Postcard for you!
My husband and I had to cancel a vacation to Cancun that was scheduled during the beginning of the pandemic, last year. The credits were expiring soon, and having been recently vaccinated, we decided to use those credits in a last minute trip!
That's it for this update! Thanks again, and see ya next time, friends! ~Rachel
